BIG Narratively News!
Hi, readers!
It’s Noah, Narratively founder and CEO, checking in with a major announcement. A decade ago, my co-founder, Brendan, and I were fed up with our day jobs in big journalism – tired of hearing that our passion projects were too “quirky,” “complex,” or “in-depth,” for mainstream media. So we did something about it. We built a storytelling platform that puts extraordinary human stories first. We’re incredibly proud to have published 2,000+ pieces, working with thousands of storytellers from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists to emerging writers sharing their very first work. In everything we do, our mission has always been to celebrate underdogs and elevate diverse, overlooked voices.
The Narratively method is incredibly rewarding, but it’s not easy to execute. And it’s even harder to fund – to pay competitive rates to our storytellers, editors, illustrators, photographers, copyeditors and fact-checkers, to cover web development, design and hosting fees, and much more. But it’s a mission we truly believe in — and we need your help.
Starting today, Narratively has transitioned to a paid subscription model, powered by Substack. Paying subscribers will gain unlimited access to:
