What’s the one thing about writing you’ve always wanted to learn?
Get a sneak peek at the Narratively Storytelling Academy and tell us what kinds of classes you’d love to see.
Hey, Narratively readers! We know a lot of you are also writers or aspiring writers — whether you are a full-time journalist or have multiple memoirs under your belt, are just starting to write for the first time, or, more likely, are somewhere in between. All the amazing creative projects y’all shared on our recent shout-out thread solidified what we already knew: We’re fortunate to have cultivated an amazing global community of readers, writers and storytellers who have a lot of knowledge to share with each other. We’ve also noticed that the posts in our StoryCraft section, where we share pieces about how to write, pitch and publish true stories, have been some of our most read and engaging posts this year. So, our next step is something we’ve been dreaming of for a long time: launching the Narratively Storytelling Academy.
The academy will be a (virtual, for now) place for us all to learn from each other, with results-driven classes and workshops taught by Narratively’s editors, writers and many of our storytelling heroes, as we hone our skills together. We’re planning to launch early next year, but we want to give you an early heads-up and, more importantly, hear from you about what kinds of storytelling classes and materials you’d love to see. If you’ve been looking for ways to improve your storytelling skills, if you want to learn how to sell your articles, land an agent, write stories that get Hollywood salivating, or if you just want that regular creative push to put pen to paper, this survey is for you! Please take two minutes to share the types of storytelling classes and StoryCraft articles you’d love to see from Narratively in 2024. As a thank you, all new subscribers who fill out the survey will receive a free one-month subscription to Narratively. We truly appreciate it and can’t wait to see you in class next year!
